True to its commitment to innovation and excellence in healthcare, Bataan St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center (BSJHMC) received the Smart Hospital Initiative of the Year award at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2024 last March 26 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Center in Singapore.

BSJHMC has been recognized for pushing the boundaries of healthcare standards and pioneering technologies, creating significant impact not only within Bataan, but also in neighboring provinces.

Last December, the hospital officially introduced the vascular, cardiac, oncologic, and neurological (VCON) catheterization laboratory (CathLab) with artificial intelligence (AI), a first in the country and second throughout the Asia Pacific.

“We are very grateful to God for allowing us to be part of this life-changing and life-saving endeavor,” said Dr. Angel Aquino, CEO and Medical Director of BSJHMC, as he accepted the prestigious award on behalf of the institution.
